“ Just been for a fantastic meal , the pub is beautiful and the service is warm and inviting but the food just speaks for itself . The onglet steak melts in your mouth and the fudge dessert was so so good . Will definitely be returning . We sat outside in the sun and it was just a perfect meal and a very lovely evening . We nestled into the snug with our dog, racing against the clock with dinner at 12:15 and the F1 starting at 2 PM. Our culinary adventure included cauliflower soup, pate, pork belly, and roast beef. Spoiler alert: everything was top-notch! The soup was a personal favorite—absolutely delightful. The food was not just tasty, it was a flavor fiesta. The staff? Simply fantastic. And the landlord? A comedic genius. The pub itself is the epitome of coziness, and while they offer accommodation, we haven’t explored that yet. After devouring our meals and downing a few beers, we made it home just in time for Martin’s grid walk in Monza. Cheers to perfect timing and even better food! ”
“ Fantastic friendly village pub. My husband and I found this gem while out cycling. It is cyclist friendly with a bike stand in the beer garden. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Serve a wide range of drinks including coffee. Food is served here and the Sunday roast is very tasty and great value for money. Every time we visit the York area to cycle we always call in here. ”
